Tell us about your journey? My journey has always been and will likely continue to be a winding path of changing passions and goals. I started my career as a physical therapist at a large teaching hospital in NYC. Several years later, as the pharmaceutical industry was booming I took a leap and accepted a job in sales (something I thought I would NEVER do) working to develop clinical pathways and contracts for teaching hospitals in NYC. Fast forward to my first barre class and I decided I could combine my passion for the body with my love of sales and marketing in developing Pink Barre for the Atlanta community.
What what's your favorite part of your day? The bookends with my 3 children - before school and as the day winds down and we talk about our 3 goods and a bad!
When do you feel most successful? I am always realigning my goals so feeling successful is usually a fleeting emotion! That being said I feel most successful and proud when I see the positive impact and the relationships that Pink Barre has had on the women in our studio communities. I feel so lucky to have created a team of women who I admire and respect and feel blessed to have met and to have introduced to the ATL fitness community.
What do you do to recharge when you’re feeling drained? I am not good at pressing the “pause” button and am working on this. When I am feeling drained connecting to the outdoors with a run, hike or bike reinvigorates me or taking a class at one of our studios and connecting to the women there!
What do you know today that you wish you would have known when you first got started as an entrepreneur? It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
How do you optimize your day? Focus on my top 3 is always a work in progress for me and trying to be consistent with the little things that make you productive and sane.
Who is the person/people who allowed you to imagine more? My husband Andrew!
What does imagining more mean to you and your story? If the stars align and you can take the leap to try your BIG thing do it. You will never have all the answers or all the plans in perfect order but rather will learn and adapt as you go along. It’s the journey that will enrich you if you give it a chance.
If you could do more of one thing every day what would it be? Create more space for inspiration and creativity.
Favorite social media platform? Instagram is great for connecting to the Atlanta fitness and female community and for being inspired by other women entreprenuers.
