Tell us about your journey? I started as an Audiologist turned stay-at-home mom. My husband was a corporate lawyer for 20 years. When we were deciding what to do next, I jokingly said “I would be happy making donuts for the rest of my life” and my husband said “OK”. So we bought a machine and tested donuts from our garage in 2014. We now have 4 locations with 3 franchisees on the way.
What your favorite part of your day? Making the donut display in the morning and seeing people get a break from their day to enjoy their special treat.
When do you feel most successful? When we get positive customer feedback.
What do you do to recharge when you’re feeling drained? Yoga and massages.
What do you know today that you wish you would have known when you first got started as an entrepreneur? How much patience owning your own business requires.
How do you optimize your day? By hiring great staff and delegating.
Who is the person/people who allowed you to imagine more? My husband. Since we work together, he does all at the back-end duties such as ordering, bookkeeping and accounting and I am able to concentrate on donuts, customers and social media.
What does imagining more mean to you and your story? Growing the business by getting better every day at what we offer: Donuts and coffee with great customer service.
If you could do more of one thing every day what would it be? Working on longer term projects to help grow the business.
